What was announced

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program reported an October 7, 2026 selection draw under the Alberta Express Entry Stream. The draw focused on the aviation priority sector and issued 22 invitations to candidates with a minimum score of 56.

AAIP states that its draws are not held on a regular schedule. Selection depends on provincial priorities, sector needs and information provided in a candidate’s Worker Expression of Interest. A score meeting a previous threshold does not guarantee selection in a future draw.

What this may mean for applicants

Candidates interested in Alberta should keep their Express Entry and Alberta profiles accurate and current. Occupational eligibility, Alberta connections and the selection factors used for a particular draw may matter in addition to the published minimum score.
