What was announced

The BC Provincial Nominee Program held two Innovate: High Economic Impact Skills Immigration selections on October 29, 2026. The province issued 524 invitations in a selection requiring a minimum wage of $49 per hour and $99,000 per year, together with a job offer in a NOC TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 occupation.

A separate points-based High Economic Impact selection issued 248 invitations. The published minimum score for that selection was 131. Together, the two selections accounted for 772 invitations.

An invitation allows a selected candidate to submit a provincial application; it is not a nomination or permanent residence approval. BC PNP selection factors may change from one round to another, and invitations are issued only to qualified registrations received before the draw date.

What this may mean for applicants

Candidates should not treat the October 29 thresholds as a prediction for a future draw. Before applying, confirm the current stream requirements, employer and job-offer eligibility, wage and annual salary, NOC TEER, registration information and supporting documents. Every claimed factor must remain accurate and documentable.
