What was announced

The BC Provincial Nominee Program reported four targeted Skills Immigration invitation groups on October 8, 2026. It issued 86 invitations to early childhood educators at a minimum score of 99, 82 invitations across priority health care occupations at a minimum score of 76, and 115 invitations across priority construction occupations at a minimum score of 94.

BC also invited fewer than 5 candidates in priority veterinary care occupations at a minimum score of 86. The province specifically identified animal health technologists and veterinary technicians in NOC 32104 with a valid professional designation. Because BC published the veterinary count only as fewer than 5, an exact total for the four groups cannot be calculated from the official results.

What this may mean for applicants

A previous draw score does not guarantee a future invitation. Candidates should confirm that their occupation, professional designation where required, job information and registration details meet the current BC PNP rules before relying on a targeted pathway.
