IRCC issued 5,000 invitations in its October 27, 2026 French-language proficiency round. The CRS cut-off was 407.
What was announced
IRCC held Express Entry round 452 on October 27, 2026 for the French-language proficiency category. The department issued 5,000 invitations to apply, and the lowest-ranked candidate invited had a Comprehensive Ranking System score of 407.
The tie-breaking rule was July 13, 2026 at 19:22:00 UTC. Candidates at the cut-off score were ranked using the date and time their Express Entry profiles were submitted.
To qualify for the French-language category, a candidate must be eligible for an Express Entry program and have approved French-language test results that are less than two years old, with NCLC 7 or higher in speaking, listening, reading and writing. Meeting the language threshold does not by itself guarantee an invitation.
What this may mean for applicants
Invited candidates should review the invitation in their IRCC account, verify that language results and every profile claim remain valid, and submit a complete application by the deadline shown in the account. A previous cut-off does not predict a future round, and an invitation is not permanent residence approval.
