Prince Edward Island issued 90 invitations through its Labour and Express Entry categories on October 7, 2026. No business invitations were issued.
What was announced
The Prince Edward Island Office of Immigration reported that 90 invitations were issued on October 7, 2026 through the province’s Labour and Express Entry categories. The province did not issue any Business Work Permit Entrepreneur invitations in this draw.
PEI states that it is currently prioritizing skilled workers in higher-demand sectors such as health care, trades and manufacturing, along with other industries facing labour shortages. The province also notes that people working in sales and service occupations may not receive an invitation at this time.
What this may mean for applicants
A PEI expression of interest is not an application or a guarantee of selection. Candidates should confirm that their occupation, employment circumstances and profile information align with PEI’s current labour-market priorities before relying on a provincial pathway.
